The road from Islamabad to Skardu is among the most dramatic drives in the world. After joining the KKH at Hasan Abdal, the route follows the Indus River through some of the deepest gorges on earth before branching off at Gilgit and following the Indus upstream to Skardu.
This route requires a capable 4x4 vehicle. We exclusively use the Land Cruiser V8 or Toyota Prado for Skardu journeys. Our drivers on this route are specifically selected for their experience and are familiar with every mountain condition, fuel point, and rest facility along the way.
